What do you think is the ugliest car?
Thu Oct 8, 2009
Quiteye, back when the Aztek was being developed I was a supplier to GM and participated in many of the design meetings. It started out as a make-it-from-scratch, out-of-the-box design. It actually looked pretty good. Then the bean counters at GM got involved.
Calif. wildfire surges, threatens thousands
Sun Aug 30, 2009
I live in L.A. and all I can say about some of these posts is WOW! It is amazing how some of the nuts out there can drag religion and politics into any topic. I grew up in Indiana and endured tornados, blizzards and ice storms.
Plane flies into Washington no-fly zone - again
Thu Aug 27, 2009
Same plane two different times? Escort it out over the ocean the next time and shoot it down. Problem soved.
Ohio bus driver was on phone when man killed
Fri Aug 7, 2009
How about they hire people with some brains for a change? If the drive didn't have the union to cover her a$$ she probably couldn't hold a steady job.
The stimulus has landed, officials claim
Fri Aug 7, 2009
Massive waste of money, period. South Bend has its own airport that is even larger than Elkhart's and has commercial flights to boot. Why would anyone chose Elkhart's airport if they have business to conduct in South Bend?
Detroit’s automakers face coastal conundrum
Thu Jul 23, 2009
I was born and raised as a conservative in Indiana and have lived all but the past three years in Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, and Texas. I now live in LA. Frankly, I am sick of this crap that the only "True Americans" live in the Midwest.
GM, Chrysler defend dealership cuts
Wed Jul 22, 2009
Agreed, J.R. Smith. Now please ask your state law makers to immediately repeal the state franchise laws (bought with political donations and lobbying) that protect dealerships from market forces and we'll all go along with your "free market" plea.
GM close to offering ex-CEO Wagoner exit deal
Thu Jul 9, 2009
Hey, Rick....GM lost billions as far back as 2005. The gas spike and credit crunch that hit late last year has absolutely nothing to do with the downward spiral that GM was already in, it just sped things up.
Making sure health isn't an economic casualty
Fri Jul 10, 2009
Perhaps the health care system in Elkhart County wouldn't be so overburdened and losing money if they weren't providing services for non-paying illegal immigrants. Perhaps this "outreach" group will find it within its heart to bill Mexico for the "free" health care we are providing?
Local governments face painful choices
Wed Jul 8, 2009
I grew up in Elkhart but left many years ago. The town simply MUST get over its total focus on the airport. It is used by private aircraft only; there are no commercial flights, and there won't be again because of its proximity to South Bend and Chicago.
